Effective March 23, 2020, MCHA will be going to a skeleton crew. All business will be conducted from the Main office, located at 80 Jefferson Ave. Sharon, PA. All on-site property management office will be closed. We will be doing business by phone or email. All inspections are canceled.
As our response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, beginning immediately, our maintenance teams will only be responding to emergency work orders in occupied apartments. If you have a maintenance issue that is not an emergency, it will be addressed later.
Recertifications are still being done via phone and the mail. Our PHA staff will call to review your paperwork and send the required documents to you for your signature. Please return in the stamped address envelope provided.
A reminder that our management office will remain open but via phone until further notice. If you have to report a household change, income change, or an emergency, please reach out by phone at 724-342-4000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have a form that needs to be completed or business that requires in-person interaction, please call the office at 724-342-400 and ask for Nicole.
Also remember that at this time, all community programs, events, and meetings will be postponed until further notice for the safety of our residents, employees, and vendors. This is based on the CDC's recommendation of minimizing large community gatherings to reduce the risk of spreading illnesses. However, programs such as senior food boxes will still be delivered at the discretion of the provider.
Rent payments can be dropped off at the main office drop box located outside the front door. We will check this box daily. Any paperwork you must turn in can be left in the box as well.
We appreciate your patience as we navigate and update procedures as this pandemic evolves.
MCHA's Executive Director, Holly Nogay, released her action plan for the authority.

As you all are aware, health officials are currently taking steps to prevent the introduction and spread of COVID-19 (“Coronavirus”) into communities across the United States. As we continue to learn and get updates about the Corona Pandemic, we are being instructed by HUD and other governing bodies on the current status and processes to observe for everyone’s health and well-being. MCHA is dedicated to ensuring the safety of all staff and residents.
Everyone should continue promoting everyday disease prevention strategies:
If you are sick, stay home from work or school; do not attend group functions or use common areas.
Avoid close contact with those who are already sick.
Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing with a tissue or the crook of your arm.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for a minimum of 30 seconds.
Avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth.
Clean unit regularly with disinfectant.
If you have any questions, please contact your property manager or the Main office.
